DALINDA
Opera in concert form
2023
Donizetti is forced to transport his heroine to the ancient Persian Empire (situated in the present-day province of Tehran.) The historical-cultural context imposes a face-to-face encounter with themes such as patriarchy, the ownership of the female body, interreligious conflict, and above all, the issue of civil rights and cultural freedoms.
